With the high cost of higher grade modules and the skill books to diversify your skill tree it's easy to burn through all of your ISK and find yourself in the poor house.
Don't worry, I have great news!
I just saved a ton of isk by switching to Aurum! |

Agreed.
On the plus side you can use the starter fits for a free militia assault suit bpo, a free assault rifle bpo, a free sniper rifle bpo, a free swarm launcher bpo, etc... My skinweave alt purchased all of the BPOs & moded the anti-armor fitting since they forgot to seed the militia swarm launcher bpo. |

Ydubbs81 RND wrote:The issue with AUR gear is that they carry more CPUs than the related ISK weapons Take another look at them. They're higher tier weapons that have lower skill requirements. Powergrid & cpu is essentially the same. |

But oh well i got a good corp who sponsors me with tanks for corp matches if they are needed. And they didnt regret to invest around 2.7 million ISK into me. The problem mainly is that the gear that people are using are still crap and dont make a good payout at the end. We will see a change in around 2-3 weeks cause then people are actually done with getting the skillbooks which they need and can save up to actually afford the better gear. That's exactly what a good corporation does. Skill books don't need an AUR counterpart -- once we have the player market we'll be able to sell things and get the isk we need to maintain our own style of play or help our corpmates achieve theirs. |

Kay High wrote:On the subject of purchasing Skillbooks with Aurum: Some people might call that "Pay to Win" I'd argue that Corporations giving players money to buy their own skill books balances this very efficiently. Also, the Aurum can't be used to buy the skill points that you invest into those skills, or to supersede the skill point cap. |
